Reconstruction of measurable plane sets from their two projections taken in arbitrary directions
نویسنده
چکیده
The problem of the reconstruction of a measurable plane set from two projections is considered when the directions of the projections are arbitrary. Via a suitable &e transformation. the problem can be reduced to the solved c a e of orthogonal projections. The result can also be applied for unknown directions. It is proved that merely a howledge of the projections (i.e. without their directions) is not enough for the unique reconstruction of a set. However, from two given functions it is possible to decide whether they can determine a set from some directions bniquely, and the corresponding directions of the projections are also computable.

Conventional Voxel in Tomographic Reconstruction Based upon Plane-Integral Projections – Use It or Lose It?
Introduction: While the necessity of replacing voxels with blobs in conventional tomographic reconstruction based upon line-integrals is clear, it is not however well-investigated in plane- integral-based reconstruction. The problem is more challenging in convergent-plane projection reconstruction. In this work, we are aiming at utilizing blobs as alternative to voxels. <stron...
متن کاملReconstruction of Discrete Sets from Two or More Projections in Any Direction
During the workshop entitled “Discrete Tomography”, held in Volkrange on March 22, 1999, A. Kuba presented the open problem of reconstructing discrete sets satisfying the properties of connectivity and convexity by projections taken along many directions. In this paper, we study this problem, considering a similar property of discrete sets: the Q-convexity. In fact this property contains a cert...
متن کاملReconstruction of measurable sets from two generalized projections
The problem of reconstructing a measurable plane set from its two generalized projections is considered. It means that the projections contain also the effect of a known modification given in the whole plane. This is a more general case than that of a constant absorption within a given material. Via a suitable mapping, this generalized problem can be transformed into the solved case of the clas...
متن کاملA decomposition technique for reconstructing discrete sets from four projections
The reconstruction of discrete sets from four projections is in general an NP-hard problem. In this paper we study the class of decomposable discrete sets and give an efficient reconstruction algorithm for this class using four projections. It is also shown that an arbitrary discrete set which is Q-convex along the horizontal and vertical directions and consists of several components is decompo...

INTRODUCTION Adaptive sampling of k-space allows images in dynamic contrast-enhanced (DCE)-MRI to be reconstructed at various spatial and temporal resolutions from the same dataset. Golden-angle radial kspace sampling achieves this flexibility in-plane with samples incremented by the golden angle, φ = (√5 1)/2 * 180° [1,2]. These projections fill 2D k-space with projections that have a relative...
